Fountainhead: Chapter 4, 5, 6
These are kind of moving chapters……or devices to take us into the next section of the book. There might be more of them, but I wanted to stop here for a quick synopsis.
Keating has worked his way up through his architecture firm and is now the lead architect. However, he didn’t come to his position because of his skill as an architect, but by his skill in manipulation. At the end of chapter 6, Keating gets engaged to Catherine- Girlfriend of Keating in college, and daughter of Ellsworth Toohey, a well renowned architecture critic.
Roark on the other hand is not experiencing a rise in any social hierarchy. His boss Cameron is declining in health and Keating has even given Roark money just to help Roark pay his rent. Roark is sticking to his guns though.
