Mitt Romney is Out
Mitt Romney has dropped out of the race for the GOP nomination. Delivering his message at the Conservative Political Action Conference (C-PAC) Romney unexpectedly suspended his campaign.
This campaign move is the strongest move that I have ever seen in Politics. Campaigning does things to your ego candidates like a drunks or a gamblers stop seeing the long run and only focus on what is going on in their inner circle. However, in Romney’s case this did not happen. Reportedly, he made the decision to drop out of the race last night while reviewing the speech that he would deliver. He realized that his campaign did not have a strong chance of winning and he needed to drop out to let Sen. McCain start a National Campaign. In fact, if Gov. Romney would have stayed in the race there was a pretty good chance that the Republicans would not have had a clear nominee heading into the election balloting.
Gov. Romney dropping out will undoubtedly boost Sen. McCain’s chances of winning the White House, and secure Gov. Romney’s place as a leader in the party.
