Missile Hits Satelite Yeah. Now What?

Navy and MissileI still can’t believe they used this weak cover story. They are scared of Hydrazine gas? Listening to the press conference where they actually say it is dangerous is actually funny. They say that the gas is dangerous if it ~breathed heavily and in large quantities~ Now that is a paraphrase, but the amazing lack of a strong cover story here is amazing. I am sure Hydrazine is dangerous to some degree, but isn’t shooting a missile at a satellite that is 150 miles up a little dangerous too. Additionally, I am not a mathematician (only an economist), but it seems like without the missile strike a calculation of where the satellite would have landed would have been simple. Therefore, evacuate those people and clean up the hydrazine, but noooooooo the government shot at the satellite, breaking it into thousands of pieces—admittedly the majority will burn up on re-entry—–to plummet back down to earth. That seems like a possible threat increase to me, especially when they couldn’t guarantee that the hydrazine tank would be breached leaving the original threat as well as the new threat of thousands of pieces.

So, why bring this up? This was either a test or a show of force, but I believe that we should just call it that and be done. Which scenario usually works out better—- the guy that does the yawn move—acting shady about something that is obvious, or the guy that puts his arm around his woman like he means it.

The US needs to grow a pair!
