The Penny Thirty (minus one) Are Free
In an amazing turn of iron fist rule, the middle school principal that gave 29 students two days of detention has rescinded his orders. Supposedly, the principal has now changed positions because he is now aware that the students actions were part of a prank, and not a protest against short lunch periods.
While I don’t think either explanation should be punished because of the students use of valid US coin, shouldn’t a prank be punished and a protest be listened to?
Either the principal has turned tail under the threat of parental action and is showing why press secretaries are so important, or he should start recognizing that he is fact at his personal glass ceiling and will not be breaking through anytime soon with this high profile show of bad judgment.
