Gas prices are once again going up, and that is just going to get worse as the private refineries switch over to the federally mandated expensive summer blends.

NEW YORK (AP) - The cost of filling up the family car climbed to a record high Tuesday, adding to the challenges consumers already face with falling home values and rising food prices.

Gas prices at the pump rose overnight to a record national average of $3.2272 a gallon, according to AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. That’s a tad higher than the previous record of $3.2265, set last May.

However, while Congress and even environmentalists start whining about this cost, they are also in meetings trying to figure out other ways to increase the cost with federal mandates. Gas taxes, carbon taxes, and other less direct taxes such as cap-and-trade policies.

Why are these people doing this. I can surmise that it is because they hate America, freedom, and the American way. Because these proposals only will cause America economic strief, further regulate our freedom, and give other countries a manufacturing advantage.
