A More Perfect Union
I don’t like Barack Obama’s politics, and I will continue to make that clear. However, this week he made what will go down as one of the most important speeches of our time. Race is an issue that the United States has made great strides in a short amount of time, but because of the speed and rhetoric involved in closing that gap and attempting to heal old wounds many problems still exist and it takes speeches like this to bring them into the spot light.Please enable Javascript and Flash to view this Flash video.
There are some overtones that I would have changed, knowing that this will be an historical speech, but in general it was written very well. Additionally, for such a great orator, it is inexcusable that he was so unprepared.–Look at how closely he reads the script (the teleprompters are set to his right and left)–
