I Have Questions and I Need Answers
Two things have stumped me this week.
1.) If the girls on Warren Jeffs’ compound have always lived on the compound, how would the 16 year old girl, who allegedly called the police and informed them about being married to a 50 year old and having his baby, know that it was wrong for that to be happening?
Hypothesis: I think the police are lying about the phone call. Is that bad? Two answers: First, no, the 16 year old (and maybe others that were younger) need to be protected from these sick people. Second, yes, what else are police going to just make up?
Conclusion: The families on Warren Jeff’s compound should be arrested, but if the call is fake the police should have found another way…………….to not find another way is an affront on freedom.
2.) Why did China send the Olympic torch through San Francisco? One of the planners had to say, “Hey wait a minute, don’t they protest everything in San Francisco? Why don’t we run through……….Iowa?”
Hypothesis: I don’t know why, but I think China is setting the world up for a media surprise. They are spending a lot of money on the Olympics, and having demonstrations as highly visible as these are distracting from that investment and the world spotlight. I have also heard that San Francisco was chosen because of the density of the asian population.
Conclusion: It is the spirit of the Olympic games to overcome our differences and compete. I think China is counting on this, but at this point they must know that they are going to have to make some sacrifices —–or in their case, stop sacrificing people—–
