Gas Taxes and McCain
McCain just called for a gas tax holiday!
Democrats won’t support this for many reasons, but one reason is that they love the gas tax. It gives them the ability to collect their absurd amounts of money, and by law, most people don’t even know how much they collect through this hidden tax. Every state has passed laws that require gas stations to include taxes when the post the price of gas.
Gas taxes a horrible regressive tax, that do nothing but take needed money disproportionately out of poor peoples pockets. Am I calling for more progressive taxation. No! But a system where a blue collar worker pays a much higher percentage of his wages towards a tax than the white collar worker for a necessity is just absurd. A low flat tax with a high zero bracket is the way to go.
Hoorah McCain! Expose this awful tax.
Like it or not petrolium powers this nations economy. Clearly refineries need to be built so we can refine our own fuels, tap into the ANWR reserves and support comments like yours above. Well done!
