Matt Drudge has inherited one of the most coveted places in our society, politically speaking, he runs one of the most visited websites and he dictates what makes the pages of his website and what does not.
Furthermore, he dictates what lead is used to advertise the story on his site.
Why does this matter? He has effectively changed the political landscape. He dictates the political storyline. Most importantly, Matt Drudge does this without having to answer to a large board of directors. He is one of my heroes. He is scary though, because of his control of the conversation. The next generation of political site will be like PoliticalBear.com, a site that is not controlled by the owner and is fact open for all to use, WikiPolitics.
